The Ashton Hall
The Ashton Hall is the jewel in the crown of Lancaster Town Hall, and the perfect venue for large scale events.
Available for non-commercial and commercial hire, The Ashton Hall boasts a magnificent Norman and Beard of Norwich organ and its ceilings are decorated with painted heraldic shields, each showing the shield of the different dukes of Lancaster, from the first in 1066 through to 1422.
It's sprung floor has seen many a party and dance late into the night, topped off with an in-built stage which has seen performances in recent years by Frank Turner, Rae Morris and Sir John Cooper Clarke, to name but a few.
The Ashton Hall also benefits from it's own on-street entrance, cloak rooms and rest rooms, stemming from it's orignial purpose as a concert hall.
Large-scale weddings
The Ashton Hall is the ideal choice for large-scale weddings. Although our glorious hall is beautiful in its own right, there is plenty of 'blank canvas' elements available for you to transform the space into the perfect location for your dream day.
