Household bin allocation (2023 onwards)
The type of bins we issue to new properties has changed. The bins you should have will depend on when you were issued with them.
New properties from 2023 onwards
Every household should have three grey wheeled bins with colour-coded lids as follows:
- Grey lid - for non-reyclable waste
- Red lid – for mixed recyclables, cans, plastics, glass
- Yellow lid – for paper and cardboard
If your property is subscribed to the garden waste collection service, you should also have at least one wheeled bin with a green lid.
Property not suitable for wheeled bins?
If your property is not suitable for wheeled bins you may instead be issued with orange bags for non-recyclable waste and recycling boxes for your sorted recyclable waste.
