About the Statement of Accounts
The Statement of Accounts is produced in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, and with proper practices set out in the CIPFA/LASAAC Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting in the United Kingdom ('the Code'). The Code specifies the principles and practices of accounting required to ensure that the statement of accounts "presents fairly" the financial position and transactions of the council for the year.
The Annual Governance Statement is produced in accordance with Regulation 4 of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015.
