Entertaining the Seaside - Morecambe Winter Gardens

March 2019 Coastal Communities Fund grant of £96.5K to the Winter Gardens Preservation Trust for a new heating system. The installation of a new heating system will make the building more viable as an all year venue and offer significant improvements in energy efficiency.

The council is acting as accountable body for the grant funding and supporting the Trust to implement the project. The project group is engaged with key partners including Historic England, the Theatres Trust and Conservation. 

Work is underway to develop proposals for implementation in 2020.
