Can I vary or renew my permission?

If you want to vary your proposal or the conditions attached to your permission/consent after permission/consent has been granted, you can apply to vary an approved proposal. Some small changes can be applied for using a minor non-material amendment application form (a fee applies). For the change(s) to be considered as a minor non-material amendment all 10 criteria (PDF, 190KB) must be met. Revised plans and/or supporting information are required to accompany the application form to explain and justify the changes sought.

To vary or remove a condition that is attached to your permission/consent, you must apply for a Variation/Removal of Condition (a fee applies). Revised plans and/or supporting information are required to accompany the application form to explain and justify the changes sought.

If you have been granted permission/consent but it is soon to run out then you must either:

Formally agree all details required by the pre-commencement conditions attached to your permission/consent through a Discharge of Condition application, and then have made a material start on site prior to the date that the permission/consent lapses

Or

Make a new application.

You cannot apply to extend the time limit for implementation unless your planning consent is due to lapse between 23 March 2020 and 19 August 2020, in which case you can apply for Additional Environmental Approval through the process detailed here.  Applications should be submitted to dm@lancaster.gov.uk
