NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 7 OF SCHEDULE 14
DIVERSION OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 1-10-FP17
On 24 September 2024 Lancaster City Council confirmed the above order without modifications.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from point A (SD 5370 6438) where Hawthorn Close and Hawthorn Avenue, Brookhouse meet to point H (SD 5376 6422) as shown by a bold line on the order map and creates an alternative footpath running from point B (SD 5370 6438) where Hawthorn Close and Hawthorn Avenue, Brookhouse meet to point H (SD 5376 6422) shown by bold black dash on the order map.
A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Lancaster Town Hall, Dalton Square from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Fridays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5. Alternatively, copies of the order and map are available at www.lancaster.gov.uk/planning
This order comes into force on the date on which Lancaster City Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order has been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question the validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.

The above order was made on 15th day of August 2024. The effect of the order will be to divert the public footpath running from point A (SD 4843 6797) on Main Road, Bolton-le-Sands running east southeast to point B (SD 4845 6796) on Packet Lane, Bolton-le-Sands as shown by a bold line on the order map and create an alternative footpath running from point C (SD 4843 6796) on Main Road, Bolton Le Sands and running east southeast to Point D (SD 4844 6796) on Packet Lane, Bolton Le Sands shown by bold black dash on the order map.

Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Chief Officer for Planning and Climate Change, Mark Cassidy, Planning Department, Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ not later than 23 September 2024. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no representations or objections are duly made, or if so made are withdrawn, Lancaster City Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representation or objection which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
