Specialist heritage advice

We offer a specialist heritage advice pre-application service for proposals for listed buildings and demolition in conservation areas. Due to the high volume of queries which are being received, we have to ensure that our service is sustainable. The service, therefore, carries a fee and can involve correspondence and a site visit.

Some advice regarding heritage assets will remain free of charge, such as heritage advice for properties within the defined Morecambe Area Action Plan (MAAP) boundary, general queries regarding the process of submitting a listed building consent application and advice to third parties regarding imminent or ongoing development proposals, for example.
