Applications open for funding from UKSPF and REPF
Organisations across the Lancaster district are being invited to apply for funding from the latest round of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF).
Applications opened today (Monday, January 15) and there’s a three week window in which to apply.
The UKSPF is open for projects that will deliver on the interventions ‘Support for Business’ and ‘People and Skills’, while the REPF is open for those that provide ‘Support for Business’ and invest in ‘Community and Place’. In all cases, projects need to begin after April 2024 and be completed before March 2025.

Councillor Peter Jackson, cabinet member with responsibility for Communities, Wellbeing and Partnerships, said: “Previous rounds of the UKSPF and REPF funding have been a fantastic success story and we’ve been able to support some really excellent projects that benefit our communities and the economy.

Lancaster City Council has received £5.3 million from the UK Government through the UKSPF to invest over the next three years in projects which improve the lives of local people and the economy.
As a district containing substantial rural areas, the Lancaster district has also been allocated £500,075 from the REPF.
To date, 41 different projects have been awarded funding totalling £4.5million and they are helping to make a real difference to the lives of people living in the Lancaster district.
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.’ The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
