Local election results

Local elections took place on Thursday May 4 with voters going to the polls to elect 61 new Lancaster City councillors.

Full details of the results for individual wards are available on our website. Results from each of the Lancaster district’s town and parish councils are also available.

The figures for each individual group/party following the city council elections are as follows:

Labour: 24

Conservative: 5

Green: 21

Morecambe Bay Independents: 3

Liberal Democrats: 7

Independent: 1

Councillors will elect a new leader and Cabinet when they meet on May 22.

The meeting starts at 6pm and takes place at Morecambe Town Hall. Councillors will also elect chairmen for each of the council’s regulatory and scrutiny committees.
