Ashton Memorial lights up for Ukraine

Lancaster’s Ashton Memorial is being illuminated in blue and yellow in a show of solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

The mayor of Lancaster, Councillor Mike Greenall, said: “We have all been shocked and appalled at the tragic events of the last week.

“There are no winners in war and our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine at this moment. As a symbol of our support and solidarity, the Ashton Memorial will shine brightly in the colours of their national flag.”
