Nomination packs now available for prospective election candidates

Nomination packs are now available for anyone thinking of standing as a councillor in this May’s local elections.

On Thursday May 2 voters will go to the polls to elect new councillors to Lancaster City Council and parish councils across the district.

Nomination packs are available to collect  from Lancaster Town Hall during normal office hours.

Completed nominations will be accepted at Lancaster Town Hall from Monday March 18 between the hours of 10am and 4pm.  The deadline for receipt of nominations is 4pm on Wednesday April 3.

Becoming a local councillor can be a very rewarding experience – it offers a unique opportunity to make a difference to your community and to help shape, direct and monitor the services which affect the people who live in, work in and visit the Lancaster district.
