Council seeks views on additional Local Plan evidence
Lancaster City Council is asking for people’s views on the ‘soundness’ of the submitted Local Plan following the publication of additional evidence and information.
The Local Plan was submitted to the Government in May 2018 and is due to undergo an independent examination by a planning inspector, with a provisional start date of the week commencing April 1.
A number of additional documents have been published ahead of the examination, including a transport assessment, infrastructure delivery schedule and a playing pitch and outdoor sport strategy.
A consultation period has now been launched, in which people are being asked to make representations on the soundness of the plan, following consideration of the additional evidence and information.
This consultation is seeking comments on the soundness of the plan only in light of the additional evidence and information.
It is not necessary to re-submit representations made at the formal publication stage (February-May 2018).
All representations made at the formal publication have already been sent to the inspector.
The documents and details on how to comment are available to view on the Local Plan webpages and the consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 15 February 2019.
Anyone who does not have access to the website can contact Lancaster City Council for a representation form:
