New visitor websites to be launched during English Tourism Week
Lancaster City Council is officially launching its new visitor websites for Lancaster and Morecambe Bay during English Tourism Week (17-25 March).
The new websites www.visitlancaster.org.uk and www.exploremorecambebay.org.uk provide the perfect one stop shops for all the information visitors need to plan their holiday, visit or short break as well as a guide to some our most popular local attractions.
The mobile-friendly sites have useful filter options to help people find the perfect places to stay, eat and enjoy. Locals can also find comprehensive events listings for the area as well as inspiration for great days out with friends and family.
As part of English Tourism Week make sure to pop into either Lancaster or Morecambe Visitor Information Centres to pick up the latest visitor leaflets and what’s on guides for Spring, Summer and beyond. Whilst you are there you can sign up to a free Visit Card to enjoy a range of discounts on attractions, shopping and eating.
Coun Darren Clifford, Cabinet Member with responsibility for tourism, said: “The visitor economy is worth more than £400M per annum and extremely important to our district. I am confident that our two new attractive and inspirational websites working hand in hand with the two new visitor leaflets will generate even greater interest in the area and see the value of our visitor economy increase even further.”
