Bold as Brass in Happy Mount Park

Lancaster City Council has launched this year’s seasonal programme of free brass band concerts in Happy Mount Park.

Featuring some of the finest brass bands from across the county and beyond the concerts will take place at 2.30pm on most Sundays from May until the end of August.

As part of the programme Morecambe Bay Brass will perform a special Songs of Praise concert on Pentecost Sunday (4 June). This concert has been again kindly supported by The Churches Together in Torrisholme and Bare, in conjunction with Morecambe Brass Band Association.

Happy Mount Park provides a perfect setting for the programme of brass concerts which has been running and delighting audiences since the 1970s.

While the weekly brass band concerts are a major attraction in the park, families can enjoy the Splash Park, crazy golf course, bowling and putting greens as well as an adventure playground and café on a daily basis throughout the summer.
