Community Governance Review - Aldcliffe with Stodday
Lancaster City Council is seeking views on the proposed creation of a new parish council in Lancaster.
It follows the receipt of a petition requesting that a parish council be created for an area spanning parts of the Marsh and Scotforth West Wards of the city council, to be called Aldcliffe-with-Stodday Parish Council.
The consultation will consider whether to create the parish council or create an alternative form of community governance for that area.
Local electors registered in the proposed area for the Aldcliffe-with-Stodday Parish Council will be sent notification of the consultation, known as a Community Governance Review.
Anyone else who works or has property interests in the creation of Aldcliffe-with-Stodday Parish Council is invited to submit representations in writing to Lancaster City Council before 5pm on Friday August 5.
Responses should be sent to: The Election Office, Lancaster City Council, Town Hall, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ or email elections@lancaster.gov.uk.
More details can be found in the notice of review and draft terms of reference.
