Free workshop for flood affected businesses

Businesses in the Lancaster District who were affected by the December flooding are being invited to a resilience workshop taking place at The Storey this month.

The aim of the free workshop is to help businesses take the necessary steps towards becoming more robust to the risks posed by events of severe weather conditions both now and in the future.

At the event, which is taking place on Friday, February 26 starting at 10am, attendees will also be shown the free online interactive Business Resilience Health Check tool which prompts users to think about how vulnerable the different aspects of their business may be and suggests what actions could be taken to strengthen their resilience.

The workshop will be run by CLASP (Environment Resilience Resources and Support), part of Climate UK, in partnership with the Environment Agency and Lancaster City Council.

  • Places at this workshop are limited and need to be pre-booked by email to econdev@lancaster.gov.uk  or by calling 01524 582032.
