Life Survey

The ‘Life Survey’ will establish the views, attitudes and experiences of residents in the district

The ‘Life Survey’ will establish the views, attitudes and experiences of residents in the district

Alongside the council’s other activities to engage and connect more effectively with residents and communities, one of its priorities is to conduct a wide-ranging resident survey.

The aim is to gather a representative picture of views, attitudes and experiences of the Lancaster district to inform the development of strategies and activities for the council and other local partners.

The survey will start in the week commencing 26 July 2021, initially with an online form but including further Covid-safe face-to-face interviews to ensure a full, representative response across our district.

BMG Research will then undertake further in-person research (using a fully Covid-safe approach and to fit with Covid restriction timescales) from 16 August onwards.

Lancaster University has provided the funds for the survey, which will collate around 1,500 responses from residents aged over 18 living in the Lancaster district, ensuring that the responses are fully representative of our diverse communities.

The project will also run an identical exercise simultaneously in the Blackburn with Darwen borough.

Please note that residents are not able to volunteer to complete the survey and BMG will be contacting residents to ensure the responses are fully representative of our district.
