If you do not already have an account, you can register your household and complete a Mutual Exchange application. You will find a link to My Mutual Exchange when you log in, on the left hand side.

If you do not have access to the internet, you can access this for free at public libraries. If you are struggling to use the internet, please call in at the King Street hub and the staff there will be able to help you. 

If you have found someone to swap properties with you both need to be registered on the Ideal Choice Homes website and completed a mutual exchange advert for your properties.

If you have done the above, you will need to log in to your accounts and place a bid on each other’s properties on the Ideal Choice Homes website. Once this has been done your estate manager will then then contact you to advise you of what happens next. 

If you are carrying out a Mutual Exchange that involves more than one other tenant and property, then you can not do this via the Ideal Choice Homes website and you will need to contact your estate manager directly. If you are a Lancaster City Council tenant, you can ring 01524 582929.
