Rodent control
Rats and mice carry a number of diseases and cause damage to properties.
The services we provide include:
- A range of control methods including rodenticides and traps.
- Investigation of the sources of infestation, e.g. we can carry out dye tests or smoke tests of drainage systems to identify defects
- We can carry out drain camera surveys and provide you with a report and DVD, using our state-of-the-art equipment
- Proofing of premises to prevent re-infestation
- Sewer baiting throughout the district. Many rat infestations originate from sewer systems, and we attempt to keep the situation under control by routine baiting of manholes
- FREE information and advice
- We have powers available to us to require premises to be treated if the occupier is unwilling for whatever reason. Fortunately these powers are needed very rarely
- Annual contracts for commercial premises for a set fee 'no hidden extras'

If you are considering treating rat or mouse infestations yourself, you will now only be able to purchase amateur products, and a maximum amount of 1.5KG. These restrictions have been introduced primarily to protect wildlife.
It is strongly recommended that you use a competent qualified pest control service, such as Lancaster City Council, who will have access to professional use products and will follow the Wildlife Code.
