Pest control safety and the environment

Health and safety

  • Our pest control operatives all hold appropriate qualifications in Pest Control and attend regular refresher courses
  • We comply fully with all relevant health and safety legislation and guidelines
  • We use only humane approved pesticides and techniques
  • All our customers are given safety data and a guide on "what to do" in the event of any emergency

Environmental protection 

  • Our operatives are 'Wildlife Aware' accredited, which means they are trained to minimise risk to animals other than those targeted.
  • You may be asked whether your really need a treatment - we don't use chemical pesticides unless we have to
  • We use chemical free methods where appropriate e.g. traps and biological pesticides
  • We liaise with bee-keepers to recapture swarms of honeybees rather than destroying them
  • We remove surplus bait and rodent carcasses after treatment, and dispose of them properly
  • Our operatives are trained to minimise risk to animals other than those targeted
  • We will give you free advice and information on pest prevention and proofing methods, to reduce the need for further treatment
  • We try to use pesticides that have least negative environmental impact
