Bring sites
Lancaster City Council operates bring-sites for you to bring small items of recycling in Lancaster and Morecambe. Each site accepts different items, including small electricals, textiles and tetrapak, so please read the description below each location to avoid disappointment.
Please separate these into the containers provided to avoid contamination and do not leave any items on the floor to avoid fly-tipping.
Lancaster
- Auction Mart Car Park, Thurnham St, Lancaster, LA1 1XU
You can dispose of: cans, cardboard, glass, paper, plastic, tetra pack, textiles, waste electrical and electronic equipment (including cables)
- Upper St Leonards’s Gate Carpark, Lancaster, LA1 1QH

- Bull Beck Picnic Site, Brookhouse, Lancaster, LA2 9QR

Morecambe

We cannot accept the following items:
- Cardboard or paper that is dirty, wet or greasy
- Bubble wrap
- Crisp packets
- Food waste
- Garden waste
- Hard plastic items (such as toys, CD cases, coat hangers)
- Heavy metals (such as gas containers, paint tins and utensils)
- Nappies
- Plastic film, wrapping or food bags and cling film
- Polystyrene
- Refuse
- Thick glass (such as heavy candle holders, drinking glasses, pyrex, mirrors or windows)
- Wallpaper
