Morecambe promenade and beaches

Morecambe's charming promenade and beaches are the perfect place for families and friends to enjoy traditional seaside fun, or for lovers of the great outdoors to enjoy the unique beauty of Morecambe Bay.

Look out over the panoramic sweep of Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland hills beyond. Stroll along the golden sands of Morecambe beach, dipping your toe in the bracing sea. Enjoy the traditional pleasures of Happy Mount Park.

Have a coffee or an ice cream in one of the cafes lining the seafront, or visit the Eric Morecambe statue which looks out across the Promenade. See the art influences of the Tern project - a series of art installations along the promenade - and the art deco facade of the lovingly restored Midland Hotel.

For family fun, there is a cinema, bowling alley and amusements - but nothing is better than a sunny day with a sandy beach and waves to splash in!
