Family fun day and elite cycling return to Williamson Park
A packed day of entertainment, sport and family-friendly activities is set to take place at Williamson Park in Lancaster on Sunday July 12.
Lancaster Grand Prix 2026
Running from 9am to 5pm, the event will combine elite cycle racing, courtesy of the sixth edition of the Lancaster Grand Prix, with a programme of activities designed to appeal to all ages.
Entertainment throughout the day includes performances from The Songsmiths Musical Duo, a children’s storyteller, magic shows and circus skills workshops.
Younger visitors can also take part in children’s cycle coaching and balance bike sessions, helping to build confidence and skills.
For those keen to get involved in cycling activities, there will be traffic-free rides led by experienced ride leaders, as well as fun challenges including the Wattbike challenge and reaction lights challenge.
A selection of food vendors and a bar will also be on site, ensuring visitors can relax and enjoy the atmosphere throughout the day.
The event is supported by a range of partners including Lancaster City Council, Lancashire County Council, British Cycling, Skiddle, University of Cumbria and local sponsors.
