Lancaster City Council to be headline sponsor of North Lancashire Expo

Lancaster City Council is pleased to be a headline sponsor of this year’s North Lancashire Expo.

Taking place on September 23 and 24 at the Lancaster Brewery, the event focuses on both Business to Business and Business to Consumer, with the Sunday’s emphasis being on training, skills, education and the future workforce.

The Sunday of the event will be more of a family day, with interactive exhibits and displays, whilst the Monday will be a networking and information day for businesses.

The Expo is organised by Lancaster and District Chamber of Commerce. The intention is that it should represent the ever-growing co-operation of businesses around the Morecambe Bay Economic region.

Coun Janice Hanson, Cabinet member with responsibility for planning and regeneration, said: “The city council is very excited to be sponsoring this tremendous event and celebrating everything that is great about our local businesses.

“There’s no doubt that our district is becoming an economic powerhouse, with exciting plans in the energy generation, defence, education, and transport industries.

“The Bay Gateway has opened up a wealth of opportunities and the expansion of Heysham Port and the city council has a number of exciting proposals in the pipeline, including the development of the Canal Quarter and Bailrigg Garden Village.

“The future of our district is bright and the Expo provides the perfect showcase for what we have to offer.”

To exhibit at the North Lancs Expo only costs from £60 per square metre and we have already allocated over 80% of available space. As it was in 2017, entrance to the Expo is free to visitors on both days.
