Lancaster City Council is encouraging local residents to take part in Lancaster and Morecambe’s Sport Relief Mile when it comes to Salt Ayre Sports Centre next week.

Raise money for Sport Relief

Entries are now being taken for the event, which is being held at Salt Ayre Sports Centre on Sunday March 20, as part of a nationwide weekend of activities which aims to raise millions of pounds for good causes in Britain and abroad.

Participants will have the choice of completing three distances, either one, three or six miles. Registration for the events starts at 9.15am with all three races beginning at 10.15am.

Entry fees are £7 for adults and £3 for under 16s. A family ticket, for two adults and two children, is also available for £17.

Entries for the Lancaster and Morecambe mile can now be submitted online at www.sportrelief.com/events.
