If you are a Lancaster City Council tenant and want to move, a mutual exchange allows you to swap homes with another council or housing association tenant anywhere in the UK. We work with HomeSwapper- the UK’s largest mutual exchange service, to help you find a swap.
1. Go to Home Swapper and create an account by clicking here
2. Select Lancaster City Council as your landlord
3. Enter your tenancy details
4. Add clear photos of your home
5. Write a helpful description (garden, parking, schools, transport links etc.)
Tip: Homes with good photos get more interest.
Step 2 – Search for Matches
You can:
• Search by location
• Filter by number of bedrooms
• Set up alerts for new matches
• Message other tenants securely through Home Swapper
You can exchange anywhere in the UK, not just Lancaster district.
