Filming in Morecambe Bay

The coastline of Morecambe Bay has proved to be a particularly popular location for many production companies, offering an impressive backdrop of the Lakeland hills, glorious sunsets and a vast array of wildlife.

However, although the beaches along Morecambe front are safe to use, visitors to the area should be aware that Morecambe Bay, being the largest intertidal area in the UK, does present a number of potential hazards, including fast rising tides, quicksands and unpredictable channels.

If you intend to film in Morecambe Bay, including on the beaches and promenade, please contact us first for advice and permission.
